Majo San
A multidisciplinary artist born in Mexico City. Her work is a collection of projects ranging from murals, paintings, installations and tattoos. Yet murals are her favorite specialty.
“I enjoy muralism the most because they have a great impact and engagement with a community, they merge and become part of the public day to day life, encourage teamwork and facing challenges; they make me feel I’m contributing to many instead of a few by inspiring and enhancing. Birds and organic elements play a protagonist role in my visual code; I’ve always found nature as my biggest inspiration. I believe everything is connected and I like to remind and be reminded of this connection. When you are able to see yourself in every little thing, it is a game changer. Through spirit, art, nature, looking to unveil the secrets within me, within us, to actively become absolute part of the universe”.
Besides showcasing her paintings, Majo will be offering flash tattoos during Moonoura’s Self-Connection event this May 18th.

Emily Wilker
“My work is inspired by forces of nature whether it be a gust of wind, the smell of the ocean air or the digging up of dirt with my hands. I make paintings about the sensorial experience of being alone in nature. I am greatly inspired by the complexities that light creates through layering, obstruction, and reflection. I am drawn to the entanglement found in nature, and the many ecosystems found within it.
I am drawn to experiences that have multiple layers, senses and filters colliding at once, simulating moments of uncanniness and vulnerability from the human perspective.
By using perspective as a tool, I invite the spectator to position themselves within the work, allowing them to imagine themselves as part of the moment being depicted. I’m dedicated to studying the dissolve of figure and ground, human-in-nature, an atomization of the world.”

Separ8tor
Separ8tor reflects on personal identity and purpose in the materiality of the work as well as focusing more on the process rather than the outcome.
Our identities are not unitary, unchanging structures, but instead are composed of fleeting moments, related and circumstantial experiences, mindful reflections, and extenuating circumstances constantly flowing, occurring, changing and evolving.
Although it’s easy to feel lost and fragmented in our search for our ourselves/identities, connections, and place in this world, sometimes all it takes is stepping back for a moment to get a better perspective of the current situation and view the bigger pi@portraits_of_hue cture.

EZV
Talented Venezuelan painter based in Philly, EZV, visits Moonoura to showcase some of her latest works. - “I have always considered myself a sensitive person, in the midst of many circumstances as an immigrant, I understood the importance of enjoying and projecting each of my emotions, the cycles. I love high contrasts, I look for the balance between shapes and colors in an abstract or explicit way.
I connect with the space translating each image of mother nature, the strength of women, fauna and with our ancestors as a guide I create my own language that helps me better understand what surrounds me, influenced by my Latin roots.
Art has become my greatest strength and meaning for this path on this physical plane, and I hope that the observer finds a reason to be happy, another to analyze, find an answer or create his own story. EVERYTHING CONNECTS.”

I created 2 decks of oracle cards using 126 of my digital paintings and matched their specific meaning to an energy that focuses on an aligning aspect of the human experience realized through our chakra system.
I've been doing personal readings for a wide array of clients over the last few years. I AM able to remotely access the energy of my clients using a system of numbers I developed along with my deck of oracle cards, and many of the people who have worked with me are blown away by the results.
I’ve been opening himself to my psychic gifts over the last 10 years to realize that much of my life’s purpose comes from processing the complex experiences of my childhood upset in ways that provide refuge to others”.

Marcus Jade
Marcus Jade is a blues musician, songwriter, and poet. Born in Indiana, his appreciation of a wide variety of music allowed him to gather inspiration from many genres, before settling into his own unique style of ragged, heart-wrenching blues-folk.
Since moving to New York City, he zeroed in on his love for blues music, and began writing and performing as a solo act. A tremendous presence in the Brooklyn DIY music scene, he has also performed at hundreds of shows from the east coast and down south.
His music reflects this duality, mirroring his fluctuations between the woods and the city, between community and solitude. It’s alternately intimate and universal, communal and blisteringly solitary. It cuts to the heart of blues, staying true to its roots while seamlessly incorporating modern elements of folk and rock and roll.

Sandra Pascuzzi
Sandra Pascuzzi is a Toronto-based multidisciplinary artist and recent graduate of OCAD University. Often using household objects and everyday materials, her primary media are drawing, painting, photography, and traditional frame-by-frame animation.
Sandra's twenty years of experience as an actor, writer, and comedic performer inform her work, allowing her to create cinematic imagery that is humorous, provoking, and expansive.
About her short film: “In Other Worlds is a short, experimental film that combines painting, time-lapse photography and stop motion animation. Coping with pandemic isolation, I looked to my immediate surroundings for both my materials and my inspiration. I made use, for example, of organic matter such as garlic skin and fennel fronds as well as liquids such as molasses, fruit syrup, oil, and dish soap. Curiosity, intuition, and impulse guide me in my exploration. By zooming in close with a macro lens, I immerse myself in the micro-space of my materials and in doing so, escape isolation by entering worlds of my own creation. The results are abstracted visuals that evoke the biological or cosmological. This is what really interests me: Turning the ordinary into something new and strange.”
